Girlie Girls

This Momma has always been a tomboy.  I was never into all the girly things like clothes, jewelry, dolls, shoes, hair, fashion, etc.  I have recently decided that I kind of like jewelry, but not flashy blingy things.  Now I am the mother of two girls and I am realizing that I better figure out how to be a girl soon because they are anything but tomboys.

One of my daughters is extremely into jewelry.  I first noticed it about a year ago when we were walking through the Venetian Casino.  We came across a kiosk selling gaudy sparkly jewelry and she laid on the glass case and said WOW.  She is drawn to anything that may be jewelry and has to have it.  She is also in love with shoes.  I have found the best punishment for her is to not let her wear her shoes around the house.  I have zero fashion sense when it comes to clothes, however, she decides what she will wear and often tells me no when I pick something out (she is 2).

Her twin loves clothes.  She has recently starting putting on little fashion shows for me.  She goes into her room and comes out with a completely different outfit on, then changes again.  Today I caught her with 5 pairs of underwear on, two shirts and three skirts.  She seems to share my sense of fashion, but truly loves clothes.  She also wants me to do her hair (the little bit that she has).  I have long hair that I never do anything with except a ponytail or braid.  She wants clips, headbands, bows etc.

This Momma needs to learn how to be a girl.
