No Monkey Beds

I am often amazed at how quickly my little ones catch on to certain things and how sometimes they use it to their advantage.  I should start with my daughters nicknames are Monkey and Punkin.  Like most families we have the No More Monkey’s Jumping on The Bed Book.  We have probably read it a hundred times.

Nadia has recently started jumping on the bed.  She is persistent in her quest to jump as much as possible on any bed she finds.  She has been told to not do this and that used to stop her.  However, on our road trip she started to make a connection with the No More Monkey’s Jumping on The Bed.  Her sister is often called Monkey and now when you catch Nadia jumping on the bed and tell her to stop, she keeps jumping and chanting “No Monkey Beds”.  When her sister starts jumping on the bed, she also tells her no monkey beds.

After a good laugh, we started telling her No Punkin Beds.  She just laughs at us and tells us no monkey beds.  I wish there was a No More Punkins Jumping on the Bed book.  Perhaps I should make one.
